i think that with time moxie does begin to carry an air of authority. she isn’t necessarily motherly nor bossy but she is intimidating, and not someone you would want to disappoint. she doesn’t go by a sense of “i want to distance myself from others because they may get hurt or betray me” but rather she wants to help shape them to be stronger and more sincere, to others and to themselves. she wants people to know themselves before they can know her.
